Every gallon of fuel that we deliver is blended with a mix of Bio-Fuel. Bio-Fuel is the name of a clean burning and renewable fuel produced from natural vegetable oils, through refining, whereby meets the Society for Testing & Materials (ASTM) specifications. Since Bio-Fuel has similar characteristics of regular fuels, no alterations or adjustments need done to your heating system, and prices are left unchanged.
Bio-Fuel begins as a soybean, grown here in our country. The soybean is then harvested, and crushed to retrieve the oil. The left over bean is then sold as animal feed. The oil that was squeezed out of the bean is then refined to extract glycerin, and water. The glycerin is then sold to cosmetics companies for making soaps, and perfumes. As you can see, from start to finish the entire product is renewable and made in our country. Moreover, Bio-Fuel has a positive energy balance. For every unit of energy needed to produce a gallon of Bio-Fuel, 3.24 units of energy are gained.
